construction begins.

After a healthy season of community engagement, spiritual discernment, and due diligence, construction has begun on a new meeting space at the Shore House!

Early on, the advisory board of Love Out Loud Yadkin felt strongly that the character of the Shore Home (dating back to the late 1800s) and property should inform the work and nature of any renovations. The resulting plan in this first phase is to demolish the kitchen and bathroom added in the mid-1900s and to design and build a gathering space which would literally open the home up to the peaceful setting of the property.

In addition to this new space staying true to the current architecture and style of the original farm house, the new space includes an over-sized kitchen, plenty of room for meeting and sharing a meal together, two bathrooms accessible from the outside, lots of storage and the addition of a wrap around porch continuing from the existing side porch and all the way along the length of the back of the house.

So, step one: demolition!
